Feels good being back after a month break from the show. We’ve missed you guys! It’s the start of year 2. Tonight, we’re back with a new episode about the 4 P’s of leadership: Purpose, Passion, Position, Perseverance. Proverbs 16 gives us some excellent leadership perspectives. Also, tonight features our first ever HopeNet Radio TweetBack. more on that later. Grab some Peeps, your favorite kilt and listen in to this week’s episode. Below are some items of conversation during the show.

Officially welcome Jason Kemper to HopeNet Radio this year! Jason is the Program Director at Silver Birch Ranch. Once in a while, you’ll hear the Irish bleed out when he’s talking. Jason spent a few years as a missionary in Northern Ireland. We think you’ll like him as much as we do.

Terra Kay is back with us on the show tonight. And it’s the first show with us as the Outreach Director of Damascus Road, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting the evil of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Learn more.

Purpose

What’s your purpose in life? Have you found it? Have you defined it? What are you living your life for? Your life has purpose.

“The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster.”

God made everything intentionally. He made you with purpose.

“When people’s lives please the lord , even their enemies are at peace with them.”

Passion

Passion is defined as “a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something…” or “intense, driving, or overmastering feeling of conviction.” What gets you amped up? God has wired you a certain way with gifts and talents.

“We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”

Position

This isn’t what office your title you hold. This is about what direction and positioning you have your feet pointed and planted. Success is often determined by how we set our feet. When we get out of position, we get beat. We get knocked down. But if your feet are set properly in the right direction, you have a greater chance at success.

“Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.”

Perseverance

Perseverance is a tough word to chew. Its purpose is for the moments where you just want to throw in the towel.

“The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; whoever guards his way preserves his life.”
