Millions of students returned to school over the past couple of weeks. In this week’s episode, Jeff and Dave unpack how to best navigate through life when it seems like it’s all a mess of chaos and change. One of the top issues we hear about coming from the chats with our live coaches centers around anxiety. If you’re feeling anxious about the new school year, take a few minutes and have a heart-to-heart with one of the amazing Coaches on our chat line. You’ll be glad you did. Then, have a listen to our conversation.

New Alpha Courses Starting

Alpha_course_logoAlpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes, bars—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.

#050: Stand Up, Step Out

It’s our 50th episode of HopeNet Radio! On the show, we interview Jason Kaat (Website, Facebook), the Northcentral Region Coordinator of the National Network of Youth Ministries (NNYM), about See You At The Pole™ (SYATP). See You at the Pole™ is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. It is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event. (via syatp.com) Students from across the U.S. will gather at their flagpole on Wednesday, September 24 before the first bell to pray.

Students from across the world joined together in the largest student-led prayer movement, See You At The Pole, this week. Did you go to your flagpole? Report in!

Today’s world is confusing. What does it mean to live life to the fullest? This Sunday on HopeNet Radio, Jeff & Dave are talking about how we live life to the fullest and what that really means. The world has so many different ideas, often using methods that inflate or numb our present realities (ie drugs, alcohol, etc). But maybe there’s a better way that doesn’t lead to a world of hurt, isolation and hopelessness. In the Bible, Jonah had a much different picture of what his life should look like. Yet, he found out the hard way that he couldn’t outrun God. Perhaps we were meant to live with abandon.
